My name is John. Been into off roading my whole life, but just got into Jeeping recently. Slowly building the JKU. So far we put a 4" Currie lift, Savvy bumpers, front and rear Antirock, CRC sliders, Warn winch, Rigid lights and a spod. It's on Walker Evans bead locks with 35" Nitto Exo Grapplers. Putting on the CRC Magna Flow exhaust, Spicer drive shaft and Artec skid plates next week. Waiting for the Rockjock 60's to be completed to install in the next month or so. Looking forward to meeting up for some Jeep runs.

Yes, eventually I will go to at least 37's. This Jeep is currently my sons, but will become my weekend ride when he goes to college next year. His mom wants him to stay on 35's for now. I went with 5.13's in the 60's with the intention of going bigger later. Also adding PSC steering when I do the 60's.

Funny story, an apology and a thank you,
I am new to the Jeep life and wanted to find some like-minded individuals - we found a Jeep club based in Orange County with meetings not too far from where we live. They were having a trail run on Saturday July 18 to do a couple of trails including Jacoby Canyon. They were meeting at Big Bear Discovery Center at 9am.
We arrived at the Big Bear Discovery Center just after 9am in the pouring rain and saw 30 Jeeps with a drivers meeting in progress. My two boys hoped out to run over and listen in. In a few minutes they returned with only the CB channel and something about Jacoby Canyon. I dutifully fell in line and off we went.
As we went along I noticed quite a few flags and stickers from the San Diego Jeep Club. Hmmm I thought maybe the two clubs are doing a joint trail run. Well to state the obvious, it turns out it was the San Diego Jeep Club........a nice bunch of folks (of course - aren't all Jeepers) but not the group I was up there to join up with…..oops.
Sorry for crashing your trail run and thanks for a very enjoyable day. My two boys were wet, muddy and very happy, as was my Jeep.
My Jeep was the 1995 Red Cherokee, Right Hand Drive (from Japan). I’m in a wheelchair (a quad) which is why I did not get out at the various stops. I’ve had the Jeep for about 4 months. I added frame stiffeners & rock Sliders, 3.5” Rubicon short arm kit, disconnects, hood louvers, wheels and 31” tires. I am quite enjoying my Jeep and have done a dozen or so trails and want to do more.
Thanks Again San Diego Jeep Club!

Rob, Arthur and Conrad It sure was a great ride. While I was sorry that you missed out on the ride with your club, I am glad you had a good time. Now you have two groups with whom you can do rides with. FYI, the annual dues for SDJC is exactly what you paid to join us. Nada. Zero, Nothin'! Welcome!

Sorry you missed your run with your group, I think we had a couple end up in your group instead of ours too...hahaha. At least you had a good time with SDJC. I was very impressed with your kids when I saw them putting on your quick disconnects, I need to teach mine how to do that....

I was very impressed with your group - very organized and friendly. My 8 year old loves doing the air down and air up as well and being the sway bar disconnect guy. He also likes being my spotter which sometimes means my job as a driver gets a little harder as I pick a good line and make sure he is safe - but its ALL GOOD.
