Hi guys, Just moved here from VA a few months ago. Attended the Show n Shine today with my roommate Gary. Had a good time, met some great people and saw some awesome jeeps. We had the black '85 CJ7 and the green TJ next to it. I've had a 78 CJ7, 96XJ, 09JKU, and planning for the next purchase to be an LJ or '12+JK, and build for trails. Looking forward to upcoming events! Edit: Here's the new LJ Rubicon we just picked up earlier this week

Welcome,
Since you recently moved here, if you haven't had the chance to take the Jeeps up to Big Bear, you should try and make it for our Big Bear weekend in July. There are a ton of trails in the Big Bear area. For the event, we will be running a moderate Saturday trail, with an optional harder section, which your Jeeps are capable of handling. We will have an easy night run. Sunday we are running two groups. The hard group is running Gold Mountain, while the moderate group is running several connected trails. Hope to see you up there.

Hey everyone, I am looking for thoughts from everyone in the club. My name is Tom and I am looking forward to joining your club and getting involved in the events that you have. I am a bit premature because I don't have my jeep yet and that is why I am posting.i am in the process of buying a new jeep and don't want to purchase it and then have someone say I wish you talked to me before you bought your jeep. I am looking at a wrangler unlimited rubicon and am looking for any good advice before I pull the trigger. Any advice would be appreciated. .

Welcome...Can't go wrong with a Rubicon. Depending on your off-road background it will probably be more than you need at first but you will definitely learn how to use it and grow with it.

Hi everyone! Excited to have found all of you. I've wanted a jeep for a while now. Ifinally decided to go out and get one (2017 JEEP Sahara Unlimited). I'm a JEEP ROOKIE! Super excited to join the club and learn more of everything. No off-road experience but I'm looking forward to connecting with other jeep owners, having fun and learning.

My Jeep:: 2014 JKUR

Post by dirttrvlr on Jul 17, 2017 14:04:42 GMT -8
Hi everyone, my name is Daryl, and I just bought a 2014 JKU Rubicon and have spent the last month setting it up is a lift, wheel and tires, and bumpers. Looking forward to meeting the people in the club. I'm an easy-going person, that enjoys the outdoors. I hunt and fish (fly fishing), golf, and I hope off-roading as well. I live in Riverside, but I don't mind traveling to San Diego for get-togethers because it looks like my kind of club. Hope to see you all soon.

Hey all ✌🏼 My name is Missy and I'm new to the forum. Have a 2015 jku, unlimited, no major mods- just a 2.5" Teraflex lift, 35's, and other minor swaps like the bumpers, etc. Saw a few of you at the Jeep Bash in Long Beach a few weeks ago and figured I'd give SDJC a shot. I'm prior military (Army) and my husband is a retired SD sheriffs sgt. People laugh at my Jeep because it's white and FULL of pink accents but they don't understand the story behind it so before any of you judge and start with the "mall crawler" comments, let me explain... My husband was diagnosed with a glioblastoma- a terminal brain cancer, and was given a 14-16 month life expectancy. We've been through the surgery, radiation, chemo (which is ongoing), and now we are simply trying to do what we can in the time that's been given to us.... He has made it his project to make my Jeep as customized to "me" as possible , as a lasting gift to leave me with- knowing that I like the color pink. 🙁 So please keep that in mind before judging my Jeep as just a grocery getter or whatever. We are planning to be at the Pawnee mine run if Don if feeling up to it. Missy, none of our long term members pre-judge anyone. We always welcome new jeepers with open arms and we always ask if you need anything just let us know. You have touched me with your story and please contact me directly if you need any assistance at all. I will be glad to help any way I can. My personal email is Joe@caldwellspecialties.com I am the leader of our Black Ops team here at SDJC
