Charts for Gear Ratio

FYI, I used this chart and went 4.88s with my 37s on the 3.6 auto, which is the first blue. Now, I kind of wish I would have went with 5.13s, as I still struggle on the freeway with steep inclines. On long inclines, the transmission needs to downshift to 4th to maintain 70. On long and pretty steep inclines, like on I-8 going to Corral Canyon, it needs to go to 3rd. This puts the RPM near redline for too long.

im running 4.88s with 35s and the drivability is perfect. hill climbs even pulling a double jet ski trailer are no issue. i also upgraded my thermostat to the ripp 185 as i did not like how hot it was running pulling the trailer

I'm running 4.88s with my 315's, Pentastar, manual transmission. At 65mph the RPMs are closer to 3k than I would like so I keep it around 60 most of time. Does really well on hills and off road though.

I have 4.88's with my 3.8L and 315's it runs really well down the freeway and off road. I would say its a hair better than stock was with stock tires. Sometimes I wish I went 5.13's but I don't know if the extra few hundred RPM's is worth it to me since it is my DD. Right now on the freeway I get 16-17mpg, my average is 15mpg.

I was debating back and fourth with my gearing before I decided on the 5.13 sitting on 37s. Glad I did! I average about 17.5mpg on the highway.
