Which disconnects are you using? I have a list of things I need before Moab and this is next. I'm seeing Teraflex and JKS on other forums, which one is better?
Also, I'm looking at putting in a transmission cooler. Any ideas on a cheap kit?
Thanks
Zach

Amazon tells me this cooler doesn't fit my 2007 JKUR, but something tells me it does.

Thats because it's not manufactured specifically for the JK, it's a universal trans cooler.

I run "homemade" discos. I replaced the lower bolt with pins and washers. I replaced the upper bolt with a wingnut. Never had any issues with them getting loose. This way I can remove the whole link and then it's just the bar in there. Total cost is under 10 dollars and some time on your part to remove the factory bolts/nuts. I've ran this setup on 3 different XJs and never seen a need to spend large money on fancy aftermarket disconnects. When you buy washer buy extra washers and figure out how to shim the lock pin to be as tight as you can get it but still easily get it in and out of there. As for the trans cooler. Most you find are going to be "universal" fit. Unless you go to the stealership and pay them to install a factory one which is be $$$$. There are lots of aftermarket options out there. The best ones are the stacked plate designs (such as the B&M)but the standard "tube and fin" models work well too but take up a bit more space than the stacked plate models for a given GVWR rating. Pretty much anything is better than the factory "heat exchanger" built into the radiator. There's a reason tow package models come with an external aux. trans cooler from the factory.

There are tons of people running those with no issues. As others have posted, you can just make some disconnects for a fraction of that price. The disconnects that came with my Rock Krawler lift are just longer links to adjust for the lift, and a bolt with a cotter pin to disconnect.
