I'm KK6OXN
I too have a Yeasu FT7900 in the Jeep and use Baofeng UV5R's as my handheld as well. Also, I volunteer onboard the USS Midway Museum as a HAM radio operator. Being a HAM is a lot of fun and I learn something new every time I use my radios.

I was good going into the class but all the people asking stupid questions and arguing about right and wrong answers confused my memory. so I second guessed myself a couple to many timesI am going to practice and study again and knock it out next time. been a while since I had to study for anything

KA6ZPQ Been running 2 meter since late 80's currently picked up a couple of Baofengs just to play with. I'm setting them up for the desert, anyone know what are good repeaters to load for Oct Wells and the Salton City side too? I want to study for my General. LOTS to relearn. Robert

KM6ICG, although I have already requested a vanity call sign. Took the great 1 day cram course and test, along with quite a few other SDJCers. We will be posting when these classes are available.

Well I see by the call signs that several of you here were also there when I took the test haha. Still haven't put any ham gear in the Jeep yet, but it's gonna happen.
