I cant run it because my Jeep has no lift an 29" tires (or maybe I can?) but it looks like a lot of fun for someone with bigger tires! Haven't been there myself but I did some research to figure out where it is and this looks like the secret location. Heres the KML s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=51971565715237399677Show up at Joshua Inn in Hesperia and the beginning of the rocks is a couple miles west on the trails (check out satellite imagery). The beginning of the rocks is: 34°21'1.18"N 117°16'59.76"W This trail is apparently near 2N17X so you could really make a day trip out of both! Or maybe even Cleghorn + 2N17X + MC? Woohooo! Please post pics if you go and confirm its location! www.google.com/maps/place/34%C2%B021%2701.2%22N+117%C2%B016%2759.8%22W/@34.3503278,-117.2832667,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0

Wow. The descriptions I have been reading says it is a step up from John Bull and Holcolm Creek. I found a video. That is definitely not a trail to run in a big group. And, everyone would need 35s minimum. This would be a nightmare with smaller tires and require a lot of winching and strapping. Good find though.

okay who wants to hit this trail? I am down to go! I wish I could go..29" tires and no lift though..so whoever I went with would have to be up for one or more of the following lol: -waiting for me to struggle over the terrain (probably cant even try) -waiting for me to find a bypass -picking my sorry a&& up and taking me along with them when my Jeep cant make it any further, or at least, letting me spot them the whole way so I have something to do (walk along) Actually, I would imagine if only a couple people go, that a walk along spotter would be useful. I'd be totally up for that! Id like to try spotting via radio too. I have a handheld and I think it would work well. No more confusing hand signals. So if all that sounds GREAT (yeah right) just let me know! I can go anytime this week!

according to that kml I made the rocky part of the trail is only 0.79 miles long..so walking along the whole way is definitely a possibility!

btw I have another "secret" trail, but its in Calico so I definitely cant go, its too far. But if you guys want to know it lemme know. Its a 1/4 mile loop that has similar terrain to this. I'm not sure if I should post it here because I think these trails are only supposed to be family friendly/beginner or what not maybe? just say the word and i'll post it up

rocky trails like that are family friendly too. haha
trying it in a stock height vehicle may be a challenge but you are more than welcome to ride along with me. you do not have to walk the whole trail I learned by crunches and dings I hear under the jeep.

Okay then I'm in! Cmon Q lets see those 37 inchers on this trail, it should be cake! When do you want to go? I can go anytime during the week or on Sunday. I might be able to go on Saturday but wont know until tomorrow. The other secret trail is tortoise loop in calico. A rocky loop that people describe as fairly difficult but all seem to have a blast on it. heres the sat pic, zoom in and you can see the "loop" www.google.com/maps/place/34%C2%B057%2740.2%22N+116%C2%B050%2741.6%22W/@34.9611639,-116.8448833,263m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0 heres a vid..skip to 4m28s if it doesnt skip for you

I really can't until after we get back from Moab. I do want to go and explore that trail. The video looked like more than one line through the rock garden.
